Communications (MSTC) is offered by the Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications (SSR) department of the Higher Technical School of Telecommunication Engineers (ETSIT) of the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), and provides a complementary perspective to that offered by other professional masters of the ETSIT-UPM. Its objective is to provide its graduates with skills demanded by industry, research centres and the University to work in some of the most relevant topics of current interest worldwide. The degree is offered entirely in English: the classes, the study material and the interaction with the professors.<\/p>\n<p>MSTC has two tracks:<\/p>\n<p>Radiofrequency technologies and systems: corresponds to a classic telecommunication engineering area led by SSR.<br \/>\nSignal processing and machine learning for big data: addresses new\nchallenges in applying signal processing and machine Of these nine specific subjects, a block is devoted to fundamentals and technologies, and another to RF communication. The first block covers RF and antenna technologies, understanding and use of modern electromagnetic solvers, software radio, and advanced measurement techniques. The second block covers mobile communication systems, MIMO systems, and secure RF communications. The integration of technologies and applications offers students a new and fresh outlook of modern RF systems.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Warning<\/strong>: <strong>this track is in extinction.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>In the 2026\/2027 academic year, the new Master's Degree in Radiofrequency Engineering is implemented. Although we will provide the theoretical fundaments of the techniques developed, we will emphasize several key case studies in big data applications.
