Quiénes somos

The Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications (SSR) of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) was created in 1987 within the framework of the University Reform Law integrating research groups of the ETSI of Telecommunications of the UPM that work in the areas of communications, radio technologies and signal processing.

The quality of the cutting-edge research carried out and the active leadership of the members of the SSR have been key factors in the industrial innovation and competitiveness of the ICT sector in Spain. The SSR Department leads extensive collaboration with companies in the industry working together with private and public organizations. This intense relationship, which is a hallmark of the department, helps us to identify and address real and relevant problems for the digital society.
